Key English Test or KET is one of the English qualification of Cambridge to confirm ability of a person in communication through English. It is the basic level of English examination through four segments like reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Preparation for the exam can be much helpful to learn English.
Exam Pattern
Reading and Writing (1 hour) – 7 parts/ 32 questions. 50% score. for assessing understanding level for magazines, newspaper etc
Listening (30 minutes, including 6 minutes’ transfer time) – 5 parts/25 questions. 25%. requires ability for understanding announcement as well as spoken material during slow speaking
Speaking (8–10 minutes per pair of candidates) – 2 parts. 25%. Evaluates capability of a person in a conversation by asking and answering simple question. The face to face test is done among one or two candidates and two examiners. It is more reliable and realistic.
