GMAT, also known as Graduate Management Admission Test is a 187 minutes long computer adaptive test that is used to assess the quantitative, analytical, verbal and writing skills of candidates. Those who appear for this test are judged on the above-mentioned parameters. A score of between 200-800 is given in 10-point increments. The testing software adapts to the performance of the candidate as he/she progresses through the test. However, only the Verbal and Quantitative sections are computer adaptive. Integrated Reasoning and Analytical Written Assessment isn’t adaptive in nature. Business schools admit candidates based on this score into their prestigious MBA programmes. GMAT is administered by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council).
